Entrevistem al nostre auxiliar de conversa

,
Sebastian is our new  English Language assistant. He is helping us to improve our oral skills from P3 to 4th . We are all very pleased to have him with us since we can speak English with a native speaker.

If you want to know more things about him, read the interview which some students in 4th of ESO have prepared.

Where do you come from?
Well, originally, I’m from Belfast, Northern Ireland, but I spent my early childhood living in London and I’ve spent my last four years living in Edinburgh.
D’on ets?

How long have you been here?
Well, I’ve been here for three weeks and two days... but it feels like a lot longer. Everyone has been so welcoming that I’ve settled in so well.

Have you ever been to Spain before?
Yes! When I was fourteen, I visited Barcelona... it was one of the best holidays I’ve ever had, and played a huge role in my decision to come here. I’ve also visited Lanzarote, which is awful and Mallorca, which is brilliant.
Havies estat alguna vegada a Espanya abans?
Si. Quan tenia 14 anys. Vaig visitar Barcelona.

Has it been difficult for you to adapt yourself?
Not really, I already knew more or less what to expect before coming here. I think what I’m struggling with most is the fact that everyone speaks Catalan... oh, and the milk.
Ha estat difícil adaptar-te?
No, realment.

Do you think it is a good a opportunity for you to live in Spain to learn Spanish?
Maybe, if I was living in Spain. But in Catalonia, where everyone speaks Catalan, I’m not learning as much Spanish as I’d like.

By the way, do you speak a little Spanish?
I studied spanish at school for 5 years so I’ve come here with a good base.

Do you like Spanish food?
There’s a lot that I like: chorizo, serrano, paella, bravas, tortilla but there’s also plenty that I don’t like. The cheese and the milk are both way below par.

Have you travelled to other countries? Which one did you like most?
I’ve been to a few, France, Belgium, Portugal, USA and parts of South America... Spain is pretty good, but like everywhere, there are good parts and bad parts.
Has viatjat a altres països?

How do you feel in this school?
Everyone is very welcoming and friendly, so I’d say that I feel rather comfortable.

Are Spanish students very different from students in your country?
In my country it depends on what type of school you visit. But of all the schools I’ve ever been to, none of them have been as well behaved as the students are here.

Do you speak other languages? Which ones?
I studied French at school for 7 years and my Mother’s french, so I really should be able to speak it.
Parles alguna altra llengua? Quines?
